Well, I am sad to see it go. Hopefully will be a good final season.

It will be sad to see it go. It has remained funny to me all the way up to the final season. I'm sure the final season will be the same.

sucks about no fall start. I'm sad but also glad that it's the end. I love this show I want it to always be great. I don't want to witness an Office-esque falloff just for the sake of more seasons.

I'm going to enjoy the **** out of next season.

One of my favorite current sit-coms. Glad it can end on a high.

Think it's funnier than ever, but yeah it's probably time... At least it will get to go out on its own terms (Community) and we won't see it become a shell of its former self limping to the finish (The Office).

I will never understand wanting a show to end or being glad for it to end. That makes zero sense.

Anyway, bumping this because I finally caught up. As I said several pages ago, this show is as strong as ever and the season finale, like many of you have said, was incredible.

That said, I didn't like the three year look forward. It just didn't make sense to me. It painted Leslie as a worn out, completely different person who has been beaten down and lost her essence. That whole final scene was just too strange. Didn't do anything but leave a sour taste in my mouth and make me wonder if it was even real.

The Cones of Dunshire is great. And the recurring Lil Sebastian stuff is all time classic great.

So you can remember it ending on a good note and not gradually getting more and more worn out because you're seeing the same thing. Tons of examples of shows living too long past it's prime.

That makes no sense. That would be like saying that after our football team has a good run with several consecutive top 10 finishes, we hope they just dissolve it rather than keep going and risk having some 6 win seasons, as if the weaker seasons somehow take away the greatness you've already experienced.

I understand being satisfied with how a series ended. If something has to end, it's satisfying if it's ended well. But saying you hope something that you like ends soon makes no sense. What would make sense would be hoping that the thing you like continues on and remains really good.

Sure you could hope for that, but it would never happen. Shows either end while still good or end after the quality has degraded. There aren't really any other options.

At least it's not getting ****ing cancelled like Community

The reason why I'm am happy they are ending it is because they are ending it on their own terms. Elephant Rider brings up Community and I'm still upset Harmon didn't get a chance to wrap things up for sure (Harmon says he's fine, but I'm still upset)

I'm happy that Schur gets this opportunity because of how awesome this show has been. The ratings aren't good and it usually is on the chopping block every season. They are ending it before it gets cancelled

I love the three year jump. This sure had consistently avoided some of the worst, most mind-numbing tropes in sitcom. We didn't get a long drawn out season of wedding planning for Leslie (or Ron or April/Andy). We didn't get a bunch of baby stuff for Ron, but instead the kid just hilariously showed uo one day. Now we get to skip the pregnancy-with-triplets and infant stuff and get to see Leslie and Ben be the parents of far more interesting kids who can actually be characters.

The sudden, uneventful appearance of John <middle name redacted> Swanson was great.
