I would have loved a scene where Lily or Robin are sitting at an airport, train station, cafe, etc and somehow start talking to some strange woman about whatever the hell the episode would be about. Then, at the very end when they go their separate ways, the mother reaches down and picks up her yellow umbrella that was always out of the frame.

Remember the episode when ted was in rachel bilsons apt and she made a big deal about how all men went for the roommate? Seems like a misstep by the casting crew.
I hope that if they show Ted and her dating, that they don't make it this fairy tail romance. I feel like the show has done a pretty good job of not idealizing the relationships in the show and has conflict thrown in. I hope that just because they have created this goddess in Future Ted's mind, that there is still some conflict.
She's still pretty enough to catch Ted's eye. Hell, she would catch my eye too. Once you've been hooked, then it's all about how the personalities match up. I think it makes sense it's not some drop-dead gorgeous woman.
I'm guessing that Ted and her will meet when he is selling his house. I think she will be the one that goes to see the house and is thinking about buying it (or maybe she does buy it and he does go to Chicago for a year?). I hope thats not really how it plays out, but I think thats how they are going to meet.
But wasn't he staring at her at the wedding (per an old episode)? And I would think he meets or runs into her at the train station or on the train after the wedding.
I know they wanted to...and first it was b/c she was a Grad Assistant and couldn't, then he went to her place, but they had a falling out over him liking the roommates stuff and that was kind of the end of it until she showed back up liking girls.
