Love Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots!

Saw them twice last year. First time, Wayne got too chatty/preachy in between songs. Still a good show. Then I saw him at ACL which was equally as good. Their time slot was during the tail end of the day, so it wasn't as visually cool as the first show since the sun was still out.

But yeah, still awesome both times. Giant laser shooting hands FTW.

In my experience they were totally not rememerable.

Then again I can't remember the two bands before them or getting home that night.

i wish i liked the sasquatch lineup enough to make the trip. i'd love love love to hear/see them play soft bulletin in it's entirety

The ACL show last year was great, although I agree that it would have been better had the sun not been directly behind the stage so we could have seen it better.

The show was great at the freepress summerfest last year in Houston. They closed out the fest and the visuals were great.

Im going to drive down for a couple of days of the Sasquatch Festival to catch their set. Looking forward to it...

Saw them at ACL in '06 when he asked people to throw tampons on the stage. That was pretty funny. They were pretty fun, probably the most memorable concert I've attended.

My wife and I live in okc and we got so many "are serious?" Comments when we moved here and said we really didn't know them or like them. The only time we've seen them was at the US Conference of Mayors where they played for a private show here, but it was awesome and Coyne stayed after and spoke with every single person that wanted to talk to him, ourselves included. The guy earned major props from me that night.

Great experience tonight. They got started almost an hour late and it took a while to get through the line, but that's because Wayne was signing everything people brought, taking time to talk to everyone, and posing for pictures. He actually thanked me for waiting when I got up to the table. People were bringing all kinds of weird **** for him. One dude had him sign a Neil Diamond album and another chick had him sign an Olivia Newton-John album. He drew some funny **** on those. Check the Good Records Facebook page for those pictures.

Very cool event. The records were all random colors. Pink, purple, green, or grey. They sold out pretty quickly. I was there for about 4 hours but it was worth it. Wayne presigned some of the records with "inserted by wayne."

Since it was all random you didnt know what color record you had or if it was presigned until you opened it. I saw him sign the neil diamond record. He drew bushy eyebrows on the picture. I got him to sign my record and then he drew a big face on the front of the album cover.

Really cool guy though. He would talk to anyone about anything. Shows, new music, other bands, whatever. He was checking out all the other music people were buying in addition to the record. And on top of that, the record is pretty damn good.

I'll try and post some pics I took later.

what color record did you get? I had the purple one. Guy next to me got one of the green ones that was presigned

I got the red one. I also had two of the greyish ones that I got for friends. There were definitely plenty of the hipster doofus dewshes that probably didn't care for guys like me and you there.

I live in fw, work close to downtown. My co-worker used to live in ok city & loves the lips (she makes me listen to them at work, eh). She went & saw them nye in ck city & already has plans/reservations to see them this nye.

I'll have to tell her how awesome it was last night...she'll be super pissed.
