-i listen to bubble gum 80s pop like cyndi lauper, bananarama, the bangles, etc. sometimes i quite enjoy it.

-same goes for 90s stuff like BSB, nsync, spice girls, etc. in fact i actually bought a bsb album in elementary school.

-i'd never heard a johnny cash tune till i got to college

-i think the killers are the best band of the past decade

I'd have taken those to the grave.

Mine:
I saw Lionel Richie's "Dancing On The Ceiling" Tour.
I still listen to Lionel Richie quite often and think his ballads are beautiful.

I like both Taylor Swift's and Lady Gaga's music.

I've decided that there's nothing wrong with liking Taylor Swift's music. Can't say the same for Lady Gaga.

Actually, I like a lot of what the female singers out of Nashville are putting out. Can't really say the same for most of the guys save Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. Keith and Brad put out some decent songs and they're both pretty damned good guitarists.

I still have to jam this album at least once a month.

I like musicals, especially those like:
Jesus Christ Superstar
Les Miserables
Godspell
Evita
Rent
Hair
Phantom of the Opera

and I'm not gay, really. Not that there is anything wrong with that

In the 80s, I went to a New Kids on the Block concert. Saw Milli Vanilli at Six Flags on Senior Night in 1990.

I am a big fan of Elton John and Billy Joel, and have been to concerts of each, together and seperate. I also have every Billy Joel recording except for Cold Spring Harbor (the first album he disowned).

1) I love 90's pop - I will blame this on my sister, but the producers back then wrote hooks that blow away the crap today.

2) I think the Beach Boys are right up there with the Beatles - yes, I'm serious. Find a fan mixing of the SMiLE album (Purple Chick's version is preferred), or the released Brian Wilson version, and just let it hit you.

3)I never really got into Bob Dylan until this year.

4) Joni Mitchell is my favorite female artist

I don't think I'm embarrassed by anything I listen to. If I think it's good, then I don't see why I should be embarrassed by it.

However, I am embarrassed by how little vintage blues and jazz I listen to.

I saw Janet Jackson for her Rythm Nation Tour...My mom went with me. Who knows what she was thinking.
Now, I get pumped up when I hear "Since you been gone" True story.

I didn't listen to any Johnny Cash until college. I knew Walk the Line, but that was about it. I'll still take Trent Reznor's "Hurt" over Cash's any day.

Cyndi Lauper rocks. Goonies R GOod Enough, Time After Time, and she was on Wrestlemania.

Les Miserables songs pop up on my ipod all the time, I grew up getting dragged to that stuff so a few of them stuck.

As for my confession... While I know which one was far more significant, I'll take The Monkees over The Beatles.

-I will always love boy bands. Backstreet Boys, NSync, Plus One... I'll be the mom embaressing my kids by singing to the "oldies."

-Love Josh Groban and Celine Dion

-I was raised by conservative Christian parents who outlawed "secular" music... Amy Grant and Sandi Patty and Michael W. Smith were the majority of my music growing up. So please don't ask me to sing along to Ace of Base or anything secular from before 1995.... I don't know the words and I'm embarrassed.

-Because of this, some songs I learn to love for the first time, because I heard them... on Glee.
