One of my friends just told me that avatar is returning to theatres, with new scenes.. do any of you know anything about this any truth?

Yes, it's true. Like 9 more minutes, I think. Can't wait. I'll definitely see it again. Avatar in 3D was amazing to look at.

I saw it in the theaters, and then again in IMAX 3D.

I saw it 3x in the theaters in 3D and would not pass up an opportunity to do it again.

i'll take the opportunity to see in theaters 3D since i was deployed while it was out...and have still never seen it.

If they use those pony tail thingies for sex what were they doing with all those animals they were riding?

Visually, Avatar was outstanding, but let's be honest, the story itself was boring ****.

Visually - great movie, would consider seeing in 3D.


Plot - pretty cliched and simple.

I finally saw it. It took me three workouts to get through with it and by the time I watched the last 45 minutes I was thoroughly rooting for the humans. Kill em all.

And honestly, we've mastered the ability to fly to planets light years away yet we're fielding weapons that were only slightly better than what our military is using now?

It was just too anti-corporate, anti-military, anti-white people, anti-everything. Too over the top.

It was sweet that the Hurt Locker kicked its ass when the awards were handed out.

Oh and, Michelle Rodriguez is yummy.

Exactly, and I had read that before. But I figured it had to be a little more creative than that, but it wasn't. It was dances with wolves with tall blue people and bigger guns. It was so over the top it was painful.

My five year old bugs me to let him watch it at least once a week but no chance.

All the negatives are true...mostly storyline...but, it's a cool movie to watch...visually exciting and if you refuse to see it, it's your loss, cause there is no gain what so ever in not seeing it. The state of the art, by it's self is worth the price of the ticket.

Alright, this gives me another chance to not see this movie......

Can we get a Titanic/Avatar re-release double feature?

Sheety movie but the visuals in 3D were so awesome it didn't even matter. I'd go see it for the same reason I'd visit the Grand Canyon again; because it's amazing to look at. It was like taking a tour of an alien world. It was that impressive.

But yea, the plot was crap.

Seeing this movie in 3D is a must.

I think too many people bash the plot of this movie as if it was the worst thing ever. It is at worst average.

Its at best, average.

I've got a baby at home... 2.5 hrs of unabated freetime and an extra $10 ($20 including my wife) for beer is a HUGE gain in not seeing a movie.

Watched it a couple of times on BR and still, eh.

Never saw it in 3D. Not likely to watch this overrated horsecrap again. I've loved most of Cameron's movies but this one was just so far out there on the political left's list of pet causes that I felt like vomiting.

Still have not wasted money on this movie.

So you spent nearly nine hours watching overrated horsecrap? Did you think the movie would get better after the first two times you saw it?
