I didn't even want to open this thread because I knew it would be full of bi**hing this morning. And, for the first time, I can't really blame anyone for doing so.

Kind of made me wonder if they are winding this thing down.

there are so many office episodes that are on syndication right now that the wife and i felt like we'd seen all of those clips this past week due to DVR.

I don't like clip shows, but I disagree with the idea of just doing another rerun instead. Why show one episode when you can work in a ton of funny clips from several episodes?

I'd rather move forward with the storyline, but if this was the alternative to seeing a rerun, then I'm happy. The episode made me laugh. Isn't that the point?

Man, you people need to chill out. The new stuff was fine, the clips were fun to watch. What exactly is the problem here? You feel entitled to 22 minutes of new stuff since there was a break? Well, tough luck. It'll be all new next week. There is no logical reason to be upset over what was broadcast last night.

I agree. Last night made me laugh a lot, and that is why I watch. Of course I would prefer a new episode that advances the story, but this wasn't bad as a one time deal. And technically, it did advance it a little bit.

PS- did anyone notice a couple of clips that they did not remember seeing ever before? I saw one where a window was broken out in the warehouse, and there was one other one that was unfamiliar. I wonder if they are deleted scenes from the DVDs or something.

Yes, there were a handful of clips I never remember seeing. A couple of them with Creed.

i dont think i'd seen that.

if they would've shown a whole episode of creed flashbacks, that mightve been the best episode ever. instead, it was one of the worst.

I remember that one. I don't remember having seen the warehouse glass break though. Anyone remember that one?

The "that's what she said" montage was funny.

Also Computron was hilarious, as was the idea of bringing in a fake Stanley.

lame episode.

i love the office but that was a bad way to come back from a month vacation. i almost changed the channel halfway through, but my office loyalty wouldn't let me. maybe they are running out of ideas or were just lazy, either way...step it up!

never thought i'd be one to come in here and complain. but that sucked. it was lazy and shows that they are starting to run out of ideas. yeah it was funny... but the only reason it was funny was because they picked funny clips from older episodes. not the way to come off a long break for sure.

watty, I have never complained about the Office, and agree that as long as it made me laugh, which it did, then they did their job. I don't think people would be as upset if it came at a different point in the season. But, coming off a month hiatus, people just want new stuff.

seriously, they shouldve just not aired it. then when they're ready, hit us with a solid episode. it's called anticipation. and good writing. and solid delivery.

it's not that hard. if other shows can do it, so can this.

in the meantime, syndicate old episodes.

My impersonation of a Texags Office critique:

OK... so I laughed but this episode was just SO much like another episode this season. Talk about lazy writers! They suck and all of those jokes were used recently! They don't give me the character development I CRAVE in a 30 minute low brow sitcom. Also, Jim was COMPLETELY out of character as a boss. The Office sucks now but I'll be watching and laughing next week still!

IT WAS THE WORST BEST EPISODE I'VE EVER SEEN AND ANYONE WHO AGREES DISAGREES WITH ME IS BRILLIANT A MORON.

THE SEASON IS TOTALLY GETTING BETTER WORSE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WILL VOMIT DURING NEXT WEEKS' EPISODE.
