they followed them when they rescued the 1 out of 4 who survived 2 seasons ago off the boat that went down. IIRC, they recovered him and a dead body, and the dude had to fly back next to his dead shipmate in the helicopter.

I agree though, it's pretty nuts to see the crews following them on the rescue/recovery.

VERY gripping episode last night.

Spent the bulk of the episode interviewing 3 of the 4 survivors. Showed footage of when they found them...they told the story of the lost guys...

showed amateur footage the crew took for themselves horsing around some random time, "this **** can get a MF'er killed"..."Hey man, you need to be on deadliest catch or somethin"

pretty crazy stuff. Very emotional episode.

I think they did a good job with the sinking ship story. Let the survuvors tell it from their heart. I feel for those guys. Tough experience.

Yes. Tough TV watching. I was tense the entire time.

I agree about last night's episode being tough to watch. I can't imagine having to go endure what those 4 guys went through.

can't believe 3 of the 4 actually told the story like they did just 2 weeks after it happened. That was nuts, but it enhanced the emotion of the situation that much more.

The skipper had the 19 year old as a priority, even though his gumby suit had a hole in it, he was about to ball on camera when talking about him.

That one guy was so delirious when walking from the chopper to the ambulance.

Man, what an episode.
