Not necessarily. My grandparents anglicized their kids' names to help them assimilate. Enrique became Henry, Josefina became Josephine, Carolina became Caroline, etc.

Of course, none of that mattered because they were still as brown as George Lopez, but hey, whaddya gonna do?

I liked that show.

It was like "Sanford and Son" for us Hispanics,except instead of Black father berating and insulting Black son, Hispanic Mom was berating and insulting Hispanic son, oh... and without the junkyard...

You did mess up the quote. My main point is that you should have given Chris Griffin credit. When I saw the topic, I wondered how long it would take for someone to at least paraphrase that Family Guy nugget. You still made me laugh, even if you didn't get it exactly right. Nicely done.
