Who the F uses matrices in real life? Seriously?

141 is easy, 142 is easier.

Don't worry, 141 doesn't even get CLOSE to Eigen values. The most involved matrices get in 141 is substitution and Gauss-Jordan. You should be fine.

142 is closer to high-school calculus than anything you'll do in college.

Its called Natural Selection.

I got a C in 141, should've been a B.
I got a D in 142, should've been an F, but I got an 80 on the comprehensive final and convinced the prof that I shouldn't fail since I knew 80% of the material. He gave me a D!
At the time, it was the happiest D I ever got. The most happiest was the D I got in Fren202 and was able to graduate.
The most happeiest C was the C I got in Phil107, since I went to 4 classes. First day, first test, second test, and final.

HA! I'd like to see a 141/142 student even try and EXPLAIN what an eigen vector is let alone calculate one.

I think it all depends on the professor. I made a D in 142 but never below a B in the entire engineering math sequence.

I wish I could have taken math 141 instead of math 311

I took both 141 & 142. Some of it was easy some of it wasn't. I got Bs in both and I am the dumbest person that ever got a degree from A&M...book it.
