wrong. Fiji is the only one worth looking at. If you are in the Corps, it's E-2 or get back out of the corps. In all seriousness, if you want to be involved in a men's group, look at Aggie Men's Club or Ol Ags and if you don't get into one of those two, don't worry about the whole thing.

Don't spend the night with the Corps. They will rape you with a shampoo bottle while you sleep. I'm serious.

Well, forget that. I'm sorry.

Do spend the night with the Corps, if you want to get raped with a shampoo bottle in your sleep.

Although I am partial to the corps, you are gonna get almost the same end benefits from anything. Sure there are differences, but the Corps, Frats, and even Northside dorms offer almost the same thing. Every single one is designed to help incorporate you into the university. You will most likely meet life long friends in any of the groups, so long as you put some effort out. YOu are gonna get a sense of family from anyone of these organizations and most likely make connections for later on in life. It all depends on how you want to be percieved by everyone else. Although the corps is a minority of the university, it takes a majority of the visibility of the school. If a northsider or frat guy is arrested, its not gonna be a big deal. If a corps memeber is arrested, call the national press. There are different stigmas attached to each group. YOu need to find the one that you think best fits your personality.

If you do join, make sure you stay with it. All of those 'friends' you rented will be gone if you punch. This may be true of any organization though. I ended up getting the hell out near the end of fish year. My grades sucked hard, and the environment for me was anything but conducive to learning. I will say there was quite a transitional period to living as a non-reg though. I would have liked to stay, and i somewhat regret getting out but my new roomate became a very close friend, and i met the gal who would become the wife shortly after i got out. It worked out well for me, I got both worlds, even though i ended up spending the rest of my collegiate career un*****ing my grades. The corps all depends on the person, you can listen to this rhetoric all day, you won't know if its for you until you try it. You can always join a frat. Join the band, if its not for you, youll have a hell of a n experiend to draw on.

Being a frat guy, that's the biggest joke I've read on this board all year!

Look, overall... I just want a badass college experience. Keep it simple, guys.

Live on Northside. Get involved with Bonfire. You'll make friends for life and you'll have a "badass college experience." It doesn't get any simpler than that.

AMC or Ol'Ags are worth your time.

I reccomend joining the service spend a few years in the army and any desire to join a group will be gone.

The corps would probably be a step up! jk!

If you want to join a tight group that is pretty well respected everywhere you can join A&M's Recon platoon. You don't have to be in the corps to do this however I strongly recommend being in top physical shape and to somehow grow gills.

Look kid the fact of the matter is that there are d*#chebags in the corps and in frats and there's cool people in both organizations so don't worry about that. I was in the corps for 4 years and to be honest with you there was times when i freaking hated it. However, for me being in the corps you really get the total experience on what it means to be an aggie. And for all those haters out there that can't even recognize the fact that it's the corps that gave A&M the spirit and traditions that it has you're really missing the point, I'm not saying you have to love the Corps, but at least you can respect the part it's played in shaping what A&M is today.

Tex117 is right. These two groups are the only ones that are substantially dewshbag free (compared to any frat or the corpse).
