So, as I'm leaving for class this morning I notice there are a couple cats in the side-yard area. Not an unusual sight, since my idiot neighbor routinely barbeques on his side-porch and throws the bones in the yard.

I get home from class today and notice there's a few more cats and then....... notice the freshly-skinned CARCASS hanging on his fence! The cats are feasting on the gut-pile that's left on the ground. We live in freaking College Station! Right next to the University - not out in the country. To make matters much, much worse, the carcass is not that of a wild animal.

Call the police/animal control.

Is it human?!

I really don't want him knowing I ratted on him - I leave my Vizsla in the backyard sometimes and don't want anyone throwing him any (arsenic-laced) *treats*.

CW - I know, but regardless of his affinity or lack thereof for housecats, he should NOT leave the carcass or gutpile out for other animals (stray, domestic, or otherwise) to feast on. Talk about health-hazards.....

I realize carnivores eat raw meat regularly. What worries me, is that if it was a feral cat, it could have any number of infectious issues (Rabies, anyone?) that could be passed on to any other animal consuming the guts.

Plus, I really don't like that it is attracting animals at all. Next thing you know, it could be some huge, vicious, attack dog, that escaped from someone's yard that comes looking for a snack. (exaggeration)

WAY too big for a squirrel. Possum have rat-like tails. This one's bushy, & w/out stripes like a raccoon. I suppose it *could* be an albino raccoon, but I'm gonna stick w/ my estimation that it's a cat. Especially since he's *****ed about how much he hates cats openly to all of our neighbors.
