I have an electrician doing some work on my dimmer switches today, which means I am only working a few hours and then using leave for the rest of the day. HUZZAH

Yes, I did and she declined. She's typically pooped the day after day care.

Beautiful sunny morning in west Georgia/east Alabama as we start the day with critters being fed and coffee made. Since yesterday was trash day I have zero poetic inspiration for today. But there's coffee.
Because a good day starts with good coffee.
Make it a good one in spite of what humankind and the English Department are up to.

I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Cinnamon rolls and hot tub.
Going running.
Drive back to the imperial capital.
Boring ass work meetings on Zoom from 1 to 5.
Defeat my coworkers at MapTap and drive them before me with weeping and lamentations.
More paperwork.

Have an appointment for Lucy Cat to see the vet about her skin at 5 today. Sadly, her old vet doesn't work at that clinic any more. I google-found Lucy's old vet. She's at the MU Small Animal Clinic, but I couldn't get an appointment with her for six days. Lucy needs a steroid shot, and I'm not making her wait until Monday for it.

Today is Benny's first day of his senior year. He was not happy to wake up this morning. I remember it being a big deal to me that I was a senior. He doesn't seem to care. Hopefully he has a good day. I've already gotten an email from his Astronomy teacher. My high school didn't have Astronomy. His school has its own planetarium.

Nightmare scenario is hooking up with a woman and she uses the opportunity to scout out your house. She files an ex-parte emergency TRO claiming you're in a long-term relationship and abused her. You get served with papers and a judge sets a condition that you can't go back to your own house because she falsely claims she lives there.

She calls up her friends and they trash your place and sell all of your stuff. By the time you finally get a hearing and convince a judge that you're telling the truth she's long gone and moving on to the next dope.

I have a woman running up bogus charges on my credit cards, too!








But she's my wife.
