• Up early. Set an alarm for 5:30AM so I could work on a vacation quote I didn't get to yesterday
• Slept better last night
• Busy day ahead. Just now starting to work on the quote. Showered then had to deal with an issue at A&M.
• It is going to be a very busy week.

• Travel work tonight

Made an appointment for Lucy Cat to see the vet tomorrow afternoon. She's got scabs breaking out on the skin under her neck. This happened last fall, and the doctor gave her a steroid shot that fixed it for about seven or eight months. I guess she'll be getting another shot tomorrow. Lucy is HORRIFIED of the car, so I'm bringing Benny to try to calm her.

• I got up early today
• I have to scalp and bag lawn today because the lawn care people are coming on Wednesday for fall seeding and treatment.
• When I got out this morning I decided I might as well trim all the bushes back.
• And since I had to wait for the battery to charge on my tall hedge trimmer I thought I might as well remove the trash weed saplings.
• And while I am at it I should probably trim some of the lower hanging/dead limbs from my trees.
• And since I am going to have to take a load of brush to the recycling center, I decided I should also rake up the dead debris at the back of my yard.
• And since I will be there anyways, I might as well take the 20 gallons of old paint to the hazardous waste drop off next door.

Anyways, turns out the battery for the hedge trimmer is bad so I need to run to the store and buy a new once. At least I got the trees trimmed, brush raked up, lawn edged, weed saplings taken down, and weed eating down.

That all sounds exhausing. And hot.

The high today in Kansas City is only 85 so I'm not going to complain

• The Wife headed back to Marion for nursing and grandkid duty
• This makes over 60 days she's been gone this summer
• Watering foundation
• Soil sample sent in to TAMU lab

Slept good
Up early and walked dogs for the wife
Still made it to the 7am meeting early
Did some field visits after that
Been a busy and productive day
Tacos were extra good today
Need to eat sensible for dinner
Not going to get to many chores tonight at home

• And so it begins ... Theory Pedagogy and Music of the 20th Century. This semester is going to be a ton of work.
• I got behind on "Fratelli Chase" and now I'm worried about getting bogged down and not publishing by September 1st
• Planning for a 2400-mile road trip next month

Got home late last night from the mountains.
Busy day at work.
Grilled chicken for dinner.
Maybe do some reloading before I go to bed.

Well my night turned ****ACULAR.

Made a mistake on a flight and it cost me A LOT to fix it. Also WHY THE HELL is a flight from ATL-CLL $1700.

Rant over.

Now I hope I can sleep. Probably not likely.
