A two year old in 2001 also lived half their life in the 90s and half in the 2000s. Not that impressive.

Before I take into consideration your opinion on what is or isn't impressive I need to know if you believe the year 2000 began a new millennium or if it was the last year of the old millennium.
can't you infer what he believes by reading his post and doing basic math?

Neither, It's neutral. Jesus keeps it open for his return. The next window is 3000 and some people who are alive today will be arable to download into a 3-D printed body to see it

No, seeing as how I abruptly switched topics and what I asked is not directly relevant to what he said.

Not quite that old...

I was born closer to the end of the Great War than now.

A couple of others...
The Romanov family was execcuted by the Bolsheviks - which became the communist party the same year. Interestingly, the revolutionary leadership elite comprised of only 1/3 of ethnic Russian. The rest were not. Something, something about knowing histiory and being doomed to repeat it.

What argument are you even making? The Romanovs created the Russian Empire through conquest and then repeatedly trampled on their subject peoples.

Hey, that's how many I've lived in the 2000s also! This belongs in the amazing coincidence thread.

Mom is still with us at 96, born in 1930. 96 years before her birth is 1834, so pre-Republic.

Dad was born in 1929, he knew Civil War veterans. I knew one veteran of the Moro Insurrection.

Maybe the people that got trampled were a bunch of rebel scum, poets, and sheet house philosophers that contributed nothing to the empire.

I've often thought about a variation of this.

The class of 2027 are currently seniors. I don't feel that much older than them, though my class graduated 50 years before theirs will.

However, had I met some class of 1927 guys when I was a student, I would have thought they were backwards and ancient.

And 50 years before them, 1876-1877, was the first class to enter A&M.

So someone just a bit older than me, at 75, their birth was 75 years after the establishment of A&M, and 75 years before the sesquicentennial.

1876 A&M was a single building on the prairie.

1927 was a small school, centered around the Academic Building. The Corps Dorms would not be built for another 12 years.

1977, our freshmen year enrollment was 18,000. There was a pig farm where the Bush Library is. Kyle Field was two decks, and still had the 1927 bottom deck, with the tunnel in the north end zone.

2027....it's a different world

Not birthday related, but I often measure time/oldness based on when certain albums or movies came out.
Ex.: Blood Sugar Sex Magik released in '91. It seemed like a loooong time between that and Californication coming out in '99. Now it's been 27 years since that album.
