  • Hubs has been putting up with me for 19 years today. Guess I'm a keeper.
  • Few meetings.
  • Got real excited yesterday cause I got FOUR MORE tentative luxury bookings for the people who booked the 51 day cruise - but it was just the onboard agent getting over zealous - client was not ready to book those. One was for them extending their current cruise they are on by 14 days - sure would like that to happen lol.
  • Travel work tonight. I wouldn't mind going out with hubs to Maria Mia's for 2-fer-Tues but not sure I want to do margs/Mexican 2 days in a row. (well who am I kidding).

Sunny and 67F this morning when I bought my coffee. Supposed to top out in the high 80s today. I'll take any July day that doesn't hit 90F.

Part of a disaster recovery today for work. I love that step 1 in simulating this emergency is to shut everything down gracefully. Not sure that earthquakes/tornadoes/etc really work that way.

Benny has a very nice gaming PC. I bought it five years ago, so it's a bit dated, and I was looking for a way to give it a performance boost for his birthday.

He has an AMD setup with a B550 chipset. I recently learned that in 2024, AMD released a tricked-out CPU for this chipset. It really is considerably nicer than anything else available to us. It's an 'AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D'. It was released in 2024 with an MSRP of $249. They've already stopped making it, and there are shortages. You'd do well to find this CPU at $349 used.

I found it used on ebay for $335 on Thursday, so I jumped on it. I never heard anything from the seller, then he refunded my order last night without comment. I'm now officially stressing about a finding a used CPU. I'll find it. I just don't like what I'm going to have to pay for it.

Slept well. Just not enough. Didn't get up at all and not sure I even moved

Busy morning. Lots of meetings starting with a 7am that I was late in attending!

Kitties and puppies wanted pets this morning. I obliged

Got a couple hours of chores done after work yesterday. Need to do that again today. Ate dinner early enough I might as well have been at Del Boca Vista Phase II

Played guitar for a bit. Need more of that tonight

Cuban and Trump are addressing the pharmaceutical piece…health insurance…welllll…Obamacare messed the health insurance piece up along with Insurance carriers.

Yes! What's crazy is when we settle on that date it had nothing to do with the "date", we literally got married in less than four months from the time we got engaged and it was just trying to find a date and a church and all that that worked.

Similar story. We were looking at 3 dates…7/7, 7/14, and 7/21. Weren't even thinking about the significance of the date. Everything aligned for 7/7 and we just chose that date. Small world. Congrats as well!
