What do you think the sentence will be? Should be?
I'm guessing 20 years. Out in 10.

Seeing the confrontations outside the courthouse makes me wonder... Who on their right mind does this, and what the hell do they expect to do while they are there? I can understand some family and friends, but most of these people look like agitators? Why does the press give them the time of day?

In Texas he'll be required to serve half before parole eligibility but will also automatically be eligible after serving 30 years in the event the sentence is greater than 60 years.
My personal opinion is he was a dumb teenager who should have known better but isn't the hardened criminal type. I think a sentence of 25 would be justified. Doubtful he'd get out at the first parole hearing.

Yeah, right or wrong, how do you reintegrate someone into society in their mid 30s when they spent half their life in prison for murdering someone?

I need to finish that series. I stopped in season 4ish a few years ago and never picked it back up. Now that it is back on Netflix I've been debating whether to start the whole thing over to catch up (which is probably best) or to try to remember where I left off.
