The most interesting time was when I was summoned for a Capital Murder trial. There were well over 200 of us. After a very basic voir dire among all of us, we had to set a time for individual voir dire where we had to take the witness stand, one by one to provide our answers in front of the prosecution, defense, defendant, judge, reporter, and bailiff were the only other people in the room.

I did this once too. The defense attorney was a large African-American man (like, rotund large) and he spent a lot of his time race baiting me, I think because he didn't like my answers about capital punishment on the questionnaire we had to fill out ahead of time. I never rose to take his bait though. I wasn't picked. Been probably 25 years now and I still remember his name. Walter Pink.
