17 degrees in the Fort this morning.

Weather services are forecasting 5-8 inches of snow for Friday into Saturday.

Tonight is my night to close.

Slept hard

Had a dream about my family visiting at Dolly Parton's house. She had a lovely cat wanted lots of attention from us. It was 7 years old. At some point while we were visiting it passed away from an undiagnosed illness.

It made national news.

Kinda weird as dreams go.

Took yesterday off (not a holiday for me) and had a Hackberry Tree removed. Also got my second metal crown put in. I'm definitely a metal mouth now. (I told the bride I might as well get a grill.). Then I spent way too much money at Men's Wearhouse on stuff I kinda needed but put off for too long, like a new blazer, slacks and some shoes.

Work today. Make it count folks, and be careful out there.

  • Much warmer in the "Sparkling Sh##hole by the Sea" this morning
  • Too lazy to hit the gym
  • The Wife heads to San Antonio de Bexar for a couple of days to take her mom to appointments. Her mom not driving is a very good thing for us all.
  • I'm thinking steak tonight…..maybe grilled asparagus since The Wife won't eat it.

8F this morning headed up to a sunny 40F this afternoon. Much warmer than yesterday's high of 20F. Supposed to get colder later in the week/weekend, but it looks like Arkansas will get most of the snow I want.

This morning I'm pondering...
How far north do people have to drip their pipes for a hard freeze?

EDIT - Columbia is very hilly, and I want to sled this winter. Only 3.6" of snow so far all season though.

- Plan as of right now is to drive to Tulsa on Friday, drive to SE OK to scoop the puppy on Saturday morning and drive back north ASAP.
- It would be totally nuts to drive into that mess, wouldn't it?

I would avoid this area this weekend. People around here do not know how to drive in winter weather. Also any back roads you might have to take will be bad.

There's not enough money you could offer me to get me to drive in SE OK south of I-40 this weekend. That stretch from Poteau to Broken Bow is gonna be rough.
