Survived the storms last night.

Had a tornado touch down about 40 miles north of me and one touch down about 5 miles east of me.

Slept good last night, always do when there are Thunderstorms.

Peddle hula hoops.

Close tonight.

Got to start getting stuff together for my trip to Arkansas Special Olympics Summer Games.

Have a wonderful day!

Light chest day at the gym, breakfast consumed, dog off to daycare. Work.

  • Survived waking up at 3AM and not being able to get back to sleep for an hour
  • Deep fake AI videos have pretty much ruined any form of online dating for me. Someone I suspected of catfishing made one from a video the person they were pretending to be posted but since it's AI it was only 85% of the way there
  • Outlook says, there's a bunch of meetings I'd rather not get anywhere near scattered all over the calendar
  • Community group this evening, I think it's about the last week we're doing it until school starts back up in the fall

Don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Woke up at 4:04 AM and the lights were off. I can't sleep without the noise from a box fan. Lights came back on after 90 minutes, but I never fell back to sleep. Coffee is my friend this morning.

Love it when one of the kids comes home with an overdue library book notice and it's for a book that has probably never been here before. Odds are that it's either at the ex's or turned in but not counted.

You know which one of those it is.

Might be easier to just pay it off it is option A... Not sure what your relationship is with the ex buuuuuut guessing not super fantastic from the tone of your post here.

And then have it show up later of course. Because life.

It's definitely not over here, the place is pretty minimal except for the kids' rooms and I went over both of them pretty carefully. We'll see I guess.

Due to the ongoing litigation I'd like to imagine that the ex would have a look around in order to have a 'look at me, I cooperated!' moment but who knows

Just order a new copy of the book and take it to the school library. It's gonna be the cheapest and most painless fix.

The title is too generic, I asked the ex if it's over there because my daughter (granted, she's in kindergarten) swears that's where it is.

Your daughter wouldn't be prone to pointing out her older brother's misdeeds if given the chance, would she?

They'd rat each other out in a heartbeat, they're little kids

I've moved on to better things. Dinner is in the oven and I'm out of the shower after doing your favorite topic, washing my hair.
maroon barchetta
How long do you want to ignore this user?
You make a special shower trip for that? I usually just wash mine during my normal shower.

8+ hours driving from the Kansas City area to Mississippi. No drama today, but we got a settlement date for our house sale: next Tuesday. I have to fly back to Salt Lake on Sunday and get our other car and drive it to Georgia. I like cross country though and may go through CO, NM, TX and the I-20 route.

You have a better chance of hitting a Buc-ee's more often along the way using that second route.

I'm seriously jealous of all of this driving that you're getting to do. I love driving. I'd make a great trucker, but I only like driving small cars.

I've driven from SLC to Gallup, NM before. It was a lot of easy miles on cruise control. My kind of driving. I-40 across NM is good highway and a much easier drive that going across Colorado. If I were driving this, I'd head east from Gallup through ABQ to Amarillo and then south to Lubbock on I-27. From Lubbock, go through Post and Snyder to Sweetwater, which is on I-20. Head east, and there you go.

I-25 through Colorado is awful, IMO. It's mile after mile after mile of heavy traffic.

Always loved the drive from El Paso, Texas to College Station. 700 plus miles and never left the state of Texas.

You might think about returning rental cars. They sometimes like to drive them instead of transporting by auto carrier because it can be cheaper.

This sounds intriguing! Something to think about once my kid is self-sufficient and out of the house.

Back when I was a working LEO in Bryan, a colleague drove "human remains" from one funeral home to another, shuttling between BCS and Houston. Great part time job!

Just think of it like Uber driving where every rider has selected Quiet.
