Yeah, it did. With the insane growth of the school there is no way having three ticketing stations was ever going to work anymore. I think most of TA probably graduated when the school was still sub 50K students and forget how big it has gotten. I think it is over 75K for the CS campus alone now? It should have ended years ago honestly.

Glad to hear it. The thought of implementing before the 2025 season would have my butthole puckering if I were the ticket office. Searching for, deciding on, implementing a new software; developing trainings; and teaching it to staff and then to the student body is gonna be brutal. Necessary? Yes.

Give priority for kids showing up to other games.

We live in a country where the president thinks coal miners can simply learn to code so I guess I shouldn't be surprised the general public thinks anything that is easy to describe is also easy to code.

The AD already has a ticketing system. All that is needed is a workflow to assign ranking in a queue and another to select best available tickets based on number in the party. That shouldn't be difficult to pull off in six months.

I agree it can be done in time, but not if it's outsourced for $100 or if they put the comp sci 101 class in charge of it

It's submission forms, randomization and ranking. It's C++ first semester stuff from 20 years ago. Hell you literally could write this in QBasic

No one is re-writing the entire ticket platform, nor does it really even need to be integrated into the current ticketing platform.

It's literally a one, maybe two day project for any decent coder.
