There is precisely 1 other person. He is a big time Florida State fan and football booster type that became a sports media guy. Same name, same age, same graduating class year, just different university. We have never met.

I am related to everyone with my last name in the US.

I am Greek and a first born. So I have first cousin with the same first and last name. We went to school together he was older so he got to go by an "American" nickname while I stuck with my Greek Name.

Never met anyone with the same name in person again until I walked into a meeting in Sydney and one of the customers had the same name as me.

There is an Aggie the same class year as me who has the same first and last name. I've never met her, but I've received emails and other correspondence intended for her a few times over the years and I know for sure at least one person trying to reach me has contacted her.
Many years ago a doctor's office accidentally sent me some medical information intended for another person who had my exact first and last name AND birthdate. Fortunately it wasn't anything embarrassing and they solved the issue by putting our middle initials on everything after that and it never happened again.

One Sunday afternoon, I decided to walk on and play as a single at the local golf course. The starter paired me with another guy who was playing alone as well On the first tee box, we shook hand and introduced ourselves. We both thought the other was messing with the other. It was pretty funny. Even more interesting was that we shot the same score that day.

My last name is not common. My first name isn't common with men my age, it became a bit trendier in the late 80's and 90's, about 20 years after I was born. I didn't meet anyone with my first name until I was at A&M. There are 8 people on LinkedIn that share both names, and as far as I can tell being in my 50's I'm by far the oldest.
