There's nothing wrong with Rudy's
This. I know the BBQ snobs think the only places worth going to require you to get in line by 8:00am, wait 2 hours, and pray for a chance to be blessed by the pitmaster before they run out. Truth is BBQ is not exactly rocket surgery. You get to the point where there's just a marginal difference between Rudy's other places.
If you do a side by side taste test between Rudy's and Snow's brisket and you think the difference is marginal, your taste buds are jacked and you should see a doctor about that.
There's nothing wrong with Rudy's. It's good bbq. But it ain't anywhere near the same level as Snow's and many others. Hell, you want great bbq that doesn't require hours of waiting in line, hit Southside in Elgin or Bastrop.
As far as Bill Miller, it ain't the place you go for a bbq fix. It's where you go when you need a good, cheap lunch served quickly. Black bread and them hashbrowns? Hell yeah.
