There also used to be a "Games people play" entertainment park that had a mini water park built in, and we basically took it over for church camp a few times and they actually let us "supervise" ourselves, effectively. Bad idea.

If you're ever in Florida, Weeki Wachee Springs is still around and pretty fun. Last time I was there I went swimming in the springs and a bunch of manatees just swam up to hang out. It was a really cool experience. They also have a vintage Mold-A-Rama souvenir machine.

This was THE SPOT in Midland during the 80s/90s.
Now it looks like a third world country. Not sure if renovations ever actually happened. I think it's been completely bulldozed now.

It's much bigger now. Still awesome, but it's doesn't feel like it used to.wangus12 said:Wait what happened to SchlitterbahnRagoo said:
RIP old school Schlitterbahn
They used to have one of these at the observation deck of the old Humble Building in downtown Houston. It was the tallest building in Houston, and the tallest building West of the Mississippi. I rememebr my older brothers getting one of these made at the machine for .50 cents. I still remeber how hot it was when it came out of the machine, and how it smelled the same even years later.AW96 said:nai06 said:

Speaking of Mold-A-Rama, we were just at the San Antonio Zoo last week and they still have a few of these machines. My daughter made some about 5 years ago on another trip there. They have a QR code you can scan that takes you to their website. Not many locations left- mostly in the Midwest and this one in San Antonio. I didn't see the Florida location you spoke of listed, so I wonder if it's still running. Here's the link:

It was between Midland and Odessa on old Highway 80 (closer to Odessa but in Midland County. Closed many, many years ago.Ogre09 said:AggieArchitect04 said:
