A friend of mine had a job where he was on the road a lot for work. He would stop each morning at a hotel with a continental breakfast so he could use their bathroom and grab a bagel or an apple on the way back to his car. It's a great plan and one I've used often as most hotel lobby bathrooms are single user and are clean.

We didn't even have stalls in the Hotard Hilton back in the day, just a line of toilets down one wall directly across from the column showers with shower heads on each column for maximum efficiency. If you were ready to flush while someone was in the shower you had to holler out, "Crapper!" to give them time to step out of the stream and yell back, "Shoot!" so you didn't scald them. Freakin' millenials and gen-z.

We had that in the corps dorms 2008-2012.

We called them the gang bang showers and no stalls.

(I'm dropping a steamer at work as I type this)

Also at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, we had open bay showers. Just a room full of nozzles and sandy floors, you only have to forget your shower sandals once to never forget again.

Nothing to do with generational differences, it's a culture thing.

Hmm. The Corps dorms back before the late 80's renovations had open showers and crappers....but I remember after the band moved to the newly renovated dorms 5 and 7 for the Spring semester of 1990 that they had put stalls in. Wonder if they took them all out or if only some restrooms had them.

It depends what corps dorms you were in, some had stalls and some was no stalls. They were ghetto as hell compared to what the Quad is today.

Nothing compared to the 80's and before....linoleum floors in the rooms, exposed pipes on the ceilings, etc. We didn't know any different, though and were fine with it. Was definitely more "abuse" friendly.

It wasn't that long ago the Systems Administration Building (now the Williams Building) still had these style urinals. It has been about 20 years since I was in there. Maybe they are still there

Briggs didn't have stalls? That was a non regular girls dorm when I was there. Would have thought it would have had stalls and everything unless they took them out when it went back to being a corps dorm.
