My institution of higher learning was closed, but my barber was open for business at 9:00 a.m. All nine of the barbers there are Hispanic. Two of them didn't know what MLK day was, and more of them didn't really care much about it. No classes tomorrow, either.

I do now. My employer kind of screwed long term employees a while back and "traded" is a 5th vacation week at 20 years for 3more holidays and the noob hires getting 3 weeks out of the gate. Yeah, we lost so the new hires could get more for some reason. Oh well. One of the days was MLK day.

It was a company holiday for us this year, we used to have Good Friday, but swapped out for MLK this year.
