I technically started the process last year but I did just get the email saying my new UK passport has been printed and is on it's way. Imma go ahead and count that as a 2024 Goal checked off the list.


In addition to learning spanish, I also want to do the following.


-Add 10 new types of Scotch to my collection
-Read 1 book a month
-Try Hkarl (Icelandic Fermented Shark)
-Install French doors in my home office

I travel a lot to the UK and other places internationally. Figured it couldn't hurt to have one. If I'm outside of the US and UK, I would have the option to go to either embassy.

One month in how is everyone doing?

Hows the writing practice Nervy?
We need an update on how many dogs Anchorhold has been able to pet.
Lots of people with weight loss goals. Are you doing okay? It's hard so give yourself patience.

I went ahead a paid for Pimsleur. I'm only on day 3 but I am going to try and stay committed.

Feeling pretty good right now as I have read 4 books so far and I have a 4 day trip to Mexico coming up

I think my Iceland trip is going to be cancelled so this one isn't looking so good.

Official weight is down 10.0 lbs since 1/11.

(I consider my "official weight" to be the average for seven days so when I have spikes and dips it evens out)

Been very pleased with progress so far.

Goal is to move my body 5000 miles. Combination of swim bike run with a minimum 100mi/month running. January I banked a 62 mile surplus to the needed average.

Haven't been doing good at tracking meals. Am starting back up today as I have joined a research study that requires it.

Didn't practice guitar much in January when I wasn't feeling well but have done good with it this week. Need to purge some stuff from my practice space to make it more conducive to good productivity.

Again, due to illness in January and the amount of rain we have been getting, not so good on the exercise. This research study requires a lot of walking so that will help.

Doing ok with working only 40 hours. Not great. But have been a little better and not working over as much.

My goal was to not set any goals. So far so good!

1. Respond to the prompt each day in my One Question a Day journal. Shiiiiiiiiips. Stopped mid-March. I can pick it back up though!

2. Have a clean cut from my current org on April 1. Exception will be to mentor/advise backfill if/when she needs it at no cost. Done.

3. Fully participate and complete all assignments for 2 writing courses. Done.

4. Establish a weekly writing practice. Not even close. Meanwhile, freaking Sonia has finished a draft of her book. Ugh, she's amazing.

5. Get out of the country for a bit. See two new states. Refined my focus to the remaining states instead of out of country. 2 new states down this year, 2 more planned, 3 more to plan, 2 for 2025 and then I'll be done.

6. Read >52 books but <150. Currently sitting at 90 so >150 seems likely.

My goals were to focus on my self worth and buy a house. Welp, I bought the house and have stopped dating people when I knew it wasnt gonna work or they werent appreciating me. Or, were un-medicated schizophrenics. Ha!

I had one goal. And that was to read more(ideally 1 book a week). So far I've read 62 books. So I could stop now… but I think I'm going to try to make it at least 2.5 books a week when the year ends.

Get back in the 1000 lb club at 40. I'm around 50 lbs away with my latest bench of 225, squat of 315 and deadlift of 405. There was definitely something left in the tank on my last bench and maybe my squat. Could potentially eek out another 10 lbs on DL as well if I'm really feeling it.
