Also weird AF to include pronouns in LinkedIn profiles. Who needs a dude named Dave, with a full beard, to tell professionals he is a "he/him". Or a voluptuous chick named Emily, with lipstick and boobs, to tell me she's a "she/her". Pronouns are the glaring red flag of a problem employee.

You know what's funny, Microsoft employees have the ability to put pronouns in their email handle. Think Schmo, Joe HE/HIM/HIS < Joe.schmo@microsoft.com >

It's very distracting but definitely gets emails noticed

Pronouns are the new high priority flag for Microsoft
Does it also list the indigenous people who used to occupy the land where the office is located? And describe their clothing?

Seriously Adults do this? If I hired someone and saw they did this I would fire them immediately.

Also, seems to be mostly women that do this.

No, I see equal number of men who do this. I have never done this myself, and I have turned off all automatic announcements. I believe years ago this would be sent out automatically but I am not sure now.

Why stop at linkedin? Why not fire any and all employees that have social media?

Why stop at social media? Why not fire all employees, shut shop and retire?

OP is a complete idiot when it comes to business. He still orders from the Sear's catalog and rents his movies at Blockbuster every Friday.

Imagine some jackass firing employees for promoting themselves (and their new company) on a widely-used platform for professional networking.

Let me guess your post 10x time a day on LinkedIn nothing but pure nonsense

Nah. But I don't get bent out of shape over people using it to do exactly what it's intended to do.

Weird that you do.
Weird how did professionals survive before linkedin? You seem to care that I care you keep responding to me .

When I was at A&M, monster.com was the hot new site for jobs. I believe it started in '96 or '97.
I remember times before that when people went to websites of individual companies and emailed resumes to the hr email address.

I once wrote a Perl program to mine my sent mail file and pick out the hr email addresses and make a list. I sent it to my friend (also A&M). That doofus emailed all those 100 or so email addresses in the "To:" field, instead of the BCC field.

So a recruiter from Texas Instruments could tell that this guy was applying to Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Intel etc. One nice lady emailed him back telling him that it was not good practice.

Ah, such innocent internet times, the 90s were!
