And NO WAY this isn't real. The fatty is kicking the ever-loving SHEET out of one on the ground.
And yes, I know I'm going to hell for laughing.

I was at a function at Sam Houston State recently and was shocked at the number of obviously overweight or obese girls there. Had to be about 3 of those for every one that was just mildly overweight or less.

When I was in middle school in the 1980s in Houston, our art teacher / football coach Mr. Blanks broke up a fight in the hallway by picking the offending kid up and body slamming into the ground. It still ranks in my top 5 fight witnessed fight moments of all time.

I would use one of those storm whistles that was like 115 decibels. That tended to make kids drop their fists pretty quick.

Similar story from the 80's. Two high school girls were fighting and the typing/DE (is distributive ed still a thing?) teacher Mr. Eddings got between them and broke it up. Then one of the girls made the mistake of reaching in her pocket and pulling out a pocket knife. It was like Cassius Clay and Sonny Liston. I didn't really even see the punch, but I heard it, and it connected solid. She was out cold. Mr Eddings was still calm as a cucumber and started directing everybody to get to class, the shows over! And there were no repercussions that I'm aware of, other than maybe the girl getting her butt whooped again when she got home.

It wouldn't have lasted much longer. One of the jr. land manatees is so winded already she can't get up and the other is not far behind.

I told my kids when they started middle school that fights are bad, but if you happen to see one, you need to follow 2 cardinal rules:

1) Nobody stops watching to go get a teacher.
2) If it's two boys doing the staredown, shoulder lean, you can get things going by yelling in a low voice "You won't hit him!"

My youngest son was getting picked on in 8th grade for a while. He finally went off on the kid and beat him down pretty good. Police were called. Bully mom shows up screaming. We got some ticket out of it. Bully kid was never seen from again and never got a court summons, so I believe the judge must have thought it was a bunch of adolescent stuff and BS to drag into court and dismissed it. I consider that all a fair ending.

In my days, most fights ended from pure exhaustion, which is a bummer as a viewer, but there were a few TKOs. I saw one Saturday night fight end when one fighter's brother fired his pistol in the air. He should have let that play out. His brother had a good shot at that one, no pun intended.

Fights today seem a lot more brutal than back in the 80s. Back then, in my town two guys would square up and fight pretty fair. From the videos I see these days, fights look more like what we would call assaults.

I guess. But what struck me is how overweight they had all gotten so early in life; by late teen or early 20's. It's not like they spent a lifetime working behind a desk, popping out two kids and going hormonal and menopause yet. Our current middle-aged obesity is bad enough, but what does the future of this generation look like? Geesh.

When I was in junior high these two kids were whaling on one another at lunch, finally one kid gets the other one on the ground and is punching away at him. Big black teacher lady (more stoutly built than fat) comes up and grabs the kid on top by the waistband of his jeans and hauls him into the air with one arm. She carries him off the same way to the principal's office held out away from her body, still punching and kicking like a dang tomcat all the way out of the cafeteria.

Now, the worst fight I ever saw was in high school. Football player kid had broke his forearm in a game and had a hard cast all the way up on his hand. Despite having one arm, he gets into it with this other kid, somehow gets ahold of the back of other kid's neck and proceeds to use the cast to bash his face in. Like Ray Liotta pistol whipping that dude in Goodfellas.

God knows how much damage he did to his arm, plus the other guy's face. Think he got thrown out of school for that, IIRC.

Worst fight I can remember from high school: My brother's friend/teammate broke his leg at football practice. The next week he was in the cafeteria and two idiots started kicking his leg which was in a cast. My brother grabbed both of them (one at a time) and chunked them through a glass window. They had just over 200 stitches between the two of them.

My brother's punishment was to spend a week in the field house with his coaches rather than in class. That was the punishment when you are a captain and play both sides of the ball in every game.

The best thing about being in school in the 80s-90s, the teachers were usually like, "pecking order must be established...also, I saw what one of them did. Carry on."

This was the 1970's. The next Autumn Jim Dent (with the Dallas Times Herald and later wrote Junction Boys) was in our living room writing an article. The incident I related was later raised in a federal case that year with articles in the NYT and WSJ….and of course all over the local evening news. Kind of the first real stories of how out of control Texas high school football had become. Remember…this was the 1970's…long before Friday Night Lights was published.

I ended a bullying situation of my own back in the 8th grade in similar fashion, though in the mid-70's all we got were licks and sent back to class. No police or parents were called.

On another note, during that same time period, my mom was the girls' counselor at a different jr high and came home almost daily with stories of girl fights, which to jr high school me was the craziest thing I'd ever heard. She did work at a predominantly minority school, FWIW.

Dude through two cowards through windows because they were kicking his teammate's broken leg. I'd say his punishment was fitting and I hope his coaches brought him steak for lunch.

This is pretty spot on. "Fair fights" don't really exist anymore. If a person gets knocked down, the beatdown continues. The only thing that will stop a fight is getting tired out or police/admin involvement.

When I was still teaching, it wasn't uncommon to see an ambulance roll up to the school after a fight. It probably happened 1-2 times every grading period. You could tell it was really bad if the had to call custodians in to mop up the blood afterwards.

And that doesn't even consider the addition of weapons. A student at my school was slashed with a knife during a fight and my last year teaching fights ended up as shootings later on.

The only reason I would physically break up a fight is if someone looked like they were going to be seriously hurt.

I've heard from DPS Academy personnel that most DPS recruits have little physical altercation experience. They have to be taught what used to be a normal playground experience. Its similar in the military.
