Worst fight I can remember from high school: My brother's friend/teammate broke his leg at football practice. The next week he was in the cafeteria and two idiots started kicking his leg which was in a cast. My brother grabbed both of them (one at a time) and chunked them through a glass window. They had just over 200 stitches between the two of them.
My brother's punishment was to spend a week in the field house with his coaches rather than in class. That was the punishment when you are a captain and play both sides of the ball in every game.
Dude through two cowards through windows because they were kicking his teammate's broken leg. I'd say his punishment was fitting and I hope his coaches brought him steak for lunch.
No…..he way overreacted. He only received the light/no punishment because of his athleticism. My parents complained at the time that the coaches gave him too much leeway in everything. His discipline was a battle between my parents and the coaches with my parents wanting greater punishment for his misdeeds. Was being recruited by OU and tu at the time….1970's.
Later, he quit the team for actually very good reasons and was permanently expelled within two days for a very minor infraction. This was very frustrating for my parents who had been advocating to give him some reasonable consequences. That incident became a federal case and wound up all over the local news stations….and the NYT and WSJ. Articles pretty much centered around "Texas high school football is out of control." Friday Night Lights then came out a few years later.
