How's Carrie's Stacked Enchiladas these days? Or should I play it safe and go to Tom's BBQ?

Go try and take out the table sized pizza at Mamma's. Also, check out 3C BBQ and Rosewood Junction.
And it was quite tasty. The Cajun pasta with spinach was solid.frenchtoast said:

Cafe Eccell was originally an Italian guy, Donnie Anz, co-founder of the Dixie Chicken, Chicken Oil Co., and founder of Deuxe Burger Bar an La Taqueria.toolshed said:
Eccell was Greek family. Capri Italian, and still open. So one is better than the other.

I know he and his wife Cheryl sold Cafe Eccell. Maybe they sold it to Greeks.
I miss that place. It was awesome, not cheap, and always packed. Best place in CS to go for a celebration and a nice meal.

Cafe Eccel really was a bargain. I had a vendor from Seattle come to town and took him there in the late-90s. I think our tab at the time was about $50. He freaked out and said a meal like that would have been $100 in Seattle (at the time)

It was amazing, wasn't it? Pretty much world class quality food and pastries, right there in College Station. We took friends from California there who said basically the same thing.
Yah, it was a go-to for Big 6 (now Big 4) recruiting dinners in the 90s.Burdizzo said:
Speaking of restaurants that were good and now gone, did anyone ever eat at The Texan at Villa Maria and South College?
