I had a pretty good friend in college and at some point in our late 20s, she told me that she'd realized she was a lesbian. I met her girlfriend.

The next time I saw her was three or four years later, and she was getting married (to a man). That was nearly 20 years ago, and I think they're still married.

There's nothing stopping you from maintaining personal relationships with her family as you go forward - or her for that matter. I have gay/lesbian friends whose opposite-sex exes are still very much a part of their lives.

Lol, once you are in a committed relationship with someone and they decide to move on to other things, there should be no consideration of taking them back once they change their mind. Either they want to work through their issues with you or they don't. If their idea of working through their issues is by experimenting sexually with other people, that relationship is beyond the point of no return if you have any self respect.

And, I'm confident she already has been seeing someone, or they've at the very least talked about it. It's probably happening and you just never caught her.

I think you need to move on. Hopefully y'all don't have kids because that makes things extra messy. A clean break would be best. I would promptly file on her and have her served.

One you DO NOT DO is to grovel and beg. There is nothing more pathetic for a woman than a man begging. Don't be fooled, women love to say that they want to make their men beg but the moment they do, they start lusting after the strong and tough neighbor man who does not do any of this crap.

OK, so always keep your dignity. If she does not love you anymore and does not want to be with you, there is NOTHING you can do. You just have to deal with it and move on. I recommend that you take is slow though, give her enough time to get out of her fog if she is one and think clearly.

You also should tell her that she is free to go. But to remember that once she walks out that door, she is GONE FOREVER. You can leave, but you ain't comin' back.

If she still wants out, then move on. Make sure she doesn't take advantage of you financially.

Also meet with several divorce attorneys ASAP, choose the one you like best, someone that specializes in divorce, know you options, protect your assets.
Get tested for STDs, and do not be intimate with your wife, even if she love bombs you
Carry a voice activated recorder on you at all times, I've seen countless fraudulent domestic abuse claims, protect yourself from that
I'd start going through text messages, phone numbers on the phone bill etc.. you might be surprised what you find. Again secure your assets, if you both have access to bank accounts might consider moving half into an account only you can get to (check with the attorney, every state is different)

The status of your relationship does not make you who you are as a person.

This is not a relationship you need to be in. Protect yourself, your mental well-being, and your wallet by getting out of it now. This is already beyond saving. Putting it off for a while it's only going to lead to more frustration and heartbreak in the future. Cut your losses now.

Call a divorce attorney today. Listen to their advice. Do what they say.

Be polite to your wife and try to keep it amicable. Do not say anything in anger or do anything that may be construed as aggressive. She may be getting advice to record you or try to instigate something. Don't fall for it. If she hits you, walk away calmly. If she breaks something of yours that you care about, walk away.

Remember, you are the male and (despite women constantly *****ing about the patriarchy) they absolutely get almost every benefit of the doubt in every domestic court situation. Especially in Texas.

Now of course if she is the polite type and also wants this divorce, you may consider sharing an attorney and doing it amicably. But don't trust that will be the case until you talk to an attorney.
