What's your favorite seasoning/topping for popcorn?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I like making popcorn at home as opposed to buying it and feel like trying some new flavors/seasonings. For me the gold standard is always Flavacol but I am also a big fan of a little sprinkle of caldo con sabor de pollo.

I have yet to find a really good option for cheesy popcorn at home.

Brand: 'At the movies popcorn', buttery flavor topping (see Amazon), put some in the oil and then a little as a topping, then a sprinkle of flavacol. Done.

I've got a popcorn machine at home. Here's my meticulously tested ideal ratio. For every 1 cup of kernels, 1/3 cup butter-flavored coconut oil, and 1.5 teaspoons of flavacol. Works like a charm

In the last 6 months, going to the movie theater, I've had two instances where the butter topping has smelled like sulfur/rotten eggs. Not sure what it is. Might just be getting more sensitive to chemicals in food, because have never noticed before.

I like the low cal kind that pops with pretty light butter. Usually add garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Keeps it pretty reasonable calorie wise.

I love butter but I usually just end up with a soggy mess so I'll leave the gluttony for the movie theater

Franks Hot Sauce, a dash of cayenne and salt, a bottle of Shiner, a glass (or two) of Whistle Pig and a game of 42. Substitute 42 with an Ag football, baseball or basketball game.

Well, that's easy because everything looks bigger in a small tub of popcorn. Plus the fact that mom wears glasses.

How do you pop it IN oil or butter? You drop the kernels in and then dump liquid in with them? Wouldn't that **** up the machine?
