Never understood why people go crazy buying food at the store before a hurricane or freeze. After seeing some of these photos, I'm beginning to understand why...

Wife and I were always the type of person that had a pretty empty fridge. Like, you can always see open shelf space in ours, and the back of the fridge, and can pretty much see every item in the fridge without moving anything.

We have friends (our neighbors, my parents, plenty others) who have the type of fridge that when you open it, you just see a wall of stuff. You have to shuffle things around to get to the back, no space for anything.

Like when I go to my neighbors house to have a few beers, I usually bring 3-4 with me. I go to stick the extras in the fridge, and I have to sit there for a few seconds to find a spot lol. It always involves slightly smashing something, or having to play a tetris a bit.

My mom's two fridges are packed like that.

She and my aunt do a lot of meal prepping and they have the fridges and freezers loaded down and ready to go.

I keep a couple of cases of MREs and some freeze-dried stuff in case the SHTF.

Few things I hate more than an overstocked fridge. I just hate wasting food and not having room for any beers or anything else.

I'm embarrassed by our fridges. We have not been to the store in a while.

Freezers look good though!

It's taken a while but my wife has finally learned that everything in the fridge / freezer should be lined up with all the labels facing forward.

GD, this whole time I thought "refrigerator" was code for something.

I guess I realized I never played along.

I stopped caring about a well-stocked fridge a while ago. Even condiments end up going to waste.

Against my better judgment, here's mine. Close up on the fun section since that's what people will care about the most

I have three refrigerators and a freezer for two of us. Two are pretty much beer and soda fridges (shop and house) while making full use of the freezers. I'm not quite sure how we got here, but we have enough food to last for 6 months if **** really gets bad.

CoffeeMate creamers are my guilty pleasure. I could drink that stuff straight.
