The only people that have issues with self-checkout are Boomers.

Wrong. I'm a Boomer and I never have issues except when I get behind some 20-something that can't figure out how to weigh the produce.

Tird of these cats working the regular check-out peppering me with questions about how I want my stuff bagged.

I don't know, put the **** in a bag in a workmanlike manner.

The simplest job in the world is putting *** in a bag.

How hard is it?

But somehow they think of a question to ask every time.

I think its a little game they play to interrupt you while you keying in your member number.

Annoying, but less so than the abortion that is self-checkout

well hey, sounds better than where I live where the first question is always 'do you want to buy any bags?'

I don't like self checkout. I don't work there.

They've reduced the quality of the brown paper bags they sell you to toilet-paper strength. Paper bags now aren't fit for any purpose so buyer beware. Hilarious that they'll stand right there and sell you a bag, axe you a question about how to bag, put your **** in the bag for you, then the bag rips apart trying to go from the bagging area back to the cart.

I only wish HEB would add a bar code label maker in the produce section. It has pictures of all the produce. You place your item on the scale, touch the matching picture, and it prints out a bar code label that you just scan at the register. Some places currently have this and it simplifies the checkout. I first saw it in Germany.

My HEB in the RGV has this. Just put in an SKU number that's on the sign above the produce item.

hah. I don't know that I've had that experience.. ours seem pretty old school strong.

In fact, I just used one to pick up dog poop in the yard.. it had been a while because we had a decent snow,
but I filled that SOB up with dog poop, and it held up pretty good.

I miss paper bags. HEB has flimsy plastic crap prone to tearing.

I don't do a lot of shopping at Trader Joe's but their bags are great.

I've been using the same HEB paper bag for my recycling bin for at least 3 years.
