What about current fast food commercials that show their 5000 calorie meal and a classic Coke glass?
Back to topic, I worked in a computer room in the 80's where co-workers smoked and even into around 1990 where they smoked in cubes.
The good thing about the 70's was that people used their car ashtrays. And like my stepdad, emptied them at stoplights.

agreed. late night has been absolutely ruined. Letterman burned out, Conan faded away. Now we're just left with people who are more political than a Berkley freshman liberal arts major.

Agreed, I hate that many of the late night shows have become commentary and not pure comedy. Conan was the last that left that **** out. Ferguson? Colbert's format is a preachy beating. Politics has infested everything, including Texags - but able to filter that out here and still enjoy all the good stuff.pfo said:

Rupert Gee being forced to work as a waiter with an earpiece where Dave can tell him what to say to customers.
I don't miss dial up internet. Images took hella time to load and forget about streaming video.
Another great bit of Letterman's was when he would work the drive through at a fast food restaurant. May be my favorite bit of his.

I have a vague memory of my early flights being on a southwest plane with seats that faced backwards. Toddler me thought that was great.

My middle son says he's going to get a land line and answering machine and cancel his cell phone so people will leave him alone when he's out doing stuff.

Besides, if I really hated America, I'd probably be more upfront about it, like maybe desecrating the Capitol Building or trying to overthrow our democracy.
I miss the skin tight pants, bright colors, revealing tops, big hair and loose morals of the women of the 80's! Great time to be alive!

The worst was when offices made all smoking occur only in the breakroom. Afterwards, 5 minutes in there meant instant lung cancer.
