I know a guy who has seven assaultive convictions (including committing child abuse twice, pepper spraying his sister and trying to stab his brother with a seven inch knife) and the most he's ever gotten was three years (he always gets plea deals). He also has convictions for forgery, tampering with evidence, evading arrest (two convictions), theft (three convictions), trespassing (four convictions), criminal mischief, interfering with an emergency call, etc. He's now facing 25 to 99 years for cutting the same brother with a knife less than six months after his most recent release from prison.

How do you define personally know? Was he in your HS class / know him from school? Does he have your phone number and could call you?
My dad owns a liquor store and he's one of his regular customers (he buys cheap beer and he's always a little bit short on money). I technically don't personally know him, but my dad knows him and we've talked about him before. He's 61 and is an alcoholic and drug addict, so he has a high chance of dying in prison. He always gets court appointed attorneys, since he's poor, so he doesn't pay for expensive lawyers to get out of trouble, but it still works out for him (at least until he got his most recent charge). This is the fourth time he's been facing 25 to 99 years (he got plea deals for two or three years the previous times), but his current prosecutor is harsh, so I can't see him getting less than 25 years this time.
I went to school with a guy who shot his dad while his dad was sleeping. He is doing life in prison.
When I was 15 I worked for my uncle doing road construction. One of his employees I worked with killed his family (wife and 3 kids) then killed himself. This happened within 2 months of working with him.
My oldest son's kindergarten teacher was killed by her husband who then burned the house down around her. He is serving life in prison. She was really good friend with my wife, and sister.

I was floored when they discussed a triple homicide/suicide on the news and said my friends name. I looked up from what I was doing and my friends mugshot was staring at me from the TV. Surreal.

I also know a guy whose relative committed arson and threw urine on a jail guard, a guy who committed vehicular manslaughter and violated his probation 32 times, a guy who committed two violent burglaries and child molestation, a guy who committed burglary of a habitation, burglary of a building, burglary of a vehicle, credit card fraud, felon in possession of a firearm and drug possession, a guy who committed sexual assault, a guy who stole his relative's car while drunk and led police on a forty minute chase which ended with him crashing into a hotel, then he was killed in a police shooting less than three months after he got out of prison, a drug dealer who had 300 Adderall pills, and several people who committed drug possession.
Yeah, I'm interested in law and crime and plan to become a criminal defense attorney. Also, the other two threads were a similar topic to this one, but they weren't the same.
One of my close childhood friends married a girl from a neighboring town. She left him after a month and went back with her bf who was two grades lower than me in school and a distant friend. The bf joined the army and did tours in Iraq. They had a girl together. He came home with PTSD. He killed both her parents, tried killing her and their girl and turned the gun on himself.
Was good friends with Danny in high school.

He claims to want to be an attorney someday and he starts thread after thread about crime on the Aggieland board.
Then when people get tired of his schtick they don't respond. So he starts responding to himself to bump his threads.
Multiple staff warnings don't work so has had some bans.

None taken. Only 3 people I know IRL post on here that I know of.
I start other threads too (like on the politics and entertainment forums), not just threads about crime, and I haven't been banned since the beginning of November. Also, people respond to my threads, but some threads have less reponses than others (like my most recent thread in the Aggieland forum, and I haven't bumped that thread).

Knew the guy ok that killed and decapitated his ex and murdered her sister in College Station a few years ago. Always seemed like like a nice guy. Pretty shocking when I saw his mugshot
The son of some good friends used to stay with us when our friends went out of town. He ended up murdering my husband's uncle and accepted 45 years w/o parole to avoid the death penalty.
It was so bad that Nancy Reagan got involved. Go big or go home I guess …round these parts

No. Edit to say I taught there for a year. My position involved only being on that campus for half of a day before traveling to home campus where I taught majority of classes. I did not really know them as I never spent time with either individual outside of working environment.

I knew this dude back in Nevada. Real stand offish guy, but we were cool. Anyway, he shot a man just to watch him die. He got life in prison in California.
Several people I was in the army with are in prison, most for actions towards minors.
I had a computer programming class with Roy Kirk in high school. Never saw this coming.

He lived next door to the Moes, right accross the street from the junior high school attended. Our families were close.
He and Doug Justice ( I remember the details to this day) were burglarizing the Moe residence, right next door to the Marr residence. Mrs. Moe arrived home. Tied to the bed. Raped. Head bashed in with a golf club.
He got the death penalty, overturned and, if correctly I remember, he married the attorney representing him.
His father was a complete *******, and abused (putting it lightly) Bill terribly.
Remains in prison somewhere in Washington state.
