Y'all a buncha cheapasses. A coupla bucks isn't going to break you.
Nowadays, so few people actually want to work, I overtip just to reward them for actually showing up to work instead of relying on the government to support them.

1. No, bagging a to go order does not require more work than being somebody's waiter for an hour. That's just stupid and false.
2. I acknowledge it does require some effort, which is why I said I might do 5%.
I waited tables and pulled shifts putting out to-go orders at times. I am currently a partner in a restaurant. You can think it's stupid and false if that makes you feel better about being cheap, but it's 100% accurate in most cases

Now when you pay with a card at the terminal it asks you if you want to tip. Seems like it's becoming more of the expectation.

At sonic, you can choose to not wait in a line of cars in order to get your order in and be served food more quickly, but then someone has to bring it out to your car, simply because you didn't want to wait in the drive thru line.Bruce Almighty said:62strat said:except, for those customers not wanting to wait in the drive through line, their food is brought out to them.Bruce Almighty said:
Tipping at Sonic is stupid. There is zero difference in service to the customer with Sonic than any other drive thru place, absolutely no difference at all.
Your food is brought to your window, just like at McDonald's.
You've been to sonic right?
I can walk inside a McDonald's at get my food faster than the drive thru. All you're doing is tipping someone for walking 10 feet to your car.
So the next time you're at McDonald's and they tell you to pull into one of the parking spots, and someone brings your food to you, I hope you tip them for their walk to your car.

Why DO you tip the person making your cappuccino? That's the dumbest **** I've ever heard. He's already being paid a full wage to make your cappuccino by his employer.

I wouldn't mind tipping for any good service, but then you should pay at the end of the process, not before.
