1. Inapplicable here. Griner is a male. The pronoun "he" is not an insult. It's consistent with what he is.
2. A person can call himself whatever pronoun he wants. I have (or should have) the freedom to say that he's ****ing stupid and call him the pronoun that is actually correct.
If I want to call somebody another pronoun as an insult, that has no logical relationship to my belief that proper pronouns should be used in a non-insult setting.
