Held Dave Elmendorf's Super Bowl ring. I was helping with yard calcs when Dave and Dave were calling a game in Lubbock in 2009. I asked him about his ring and he handed it to me. He was really cool, and obviously had great insight into the game.
Got David Robinson's autograph at a San Antonio Cracker Barrel. He was browsing pancake mixes on the top shelf. I was 8.
I barely missed out on a hotel bar impromptu Bruno Mars concert at the Houston 4 Seasons. I regret going to bed early that night. Would have been a good one for this list.
I climbed Mt. Elbert, the highest point in Colorado. Probably not the only on this board to do that, but maybe.
Got drunk at the beach in Venice when I was 18 on an A&M trip instead of going to the glass blowing trip in Murano.
Hit 100 mph in a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Would not recommend.
Walked through an A&M ag school pasture in the rain scooping up cow patties into a bucket for a senior engineering experiment project. It was a low point of my educational experience, but probably unique on that one.
Toured a plant that manufactures the exhaust nozzles for the F-22. The Indian kid in the group had to stay in the conference room because he wasn't a US citizen.

I topped 120 in a Ford Fiesta on the autobahn. I don't recommend that either.

I did 110 mph in my 2 dr Jeep Wrangler JK with the top off driving from Ft Worth to NPI. We were on SH130, the superfast toll road.
Had to take my hat off, though.

Held a Congressional Medal of Honor at Camp Red Clouds 2nd Infantry Museum that was posthumously awarded to William S Sitman during the Korean War. Far lighter than I expected it to be.

I was the first Marine of the 7th Marine Expeditionary Brigade to set foot in Saudi Arabia as part of the US military's Desert Shield deployment in 1990. 7th MEB was the first regular Marine unit to deploy, and I got there almost 24 hours ahead of the brigade. When I arrived at Al Jubayl (the port we were to defend), literally no one was there. It was like a ghost town less than 12 hours from the Kuwaiti border, and my Marines and I had no idea if Iraq would attack the port before the rest of the Marine Corps showed up.

We were on one of those celebrity rock cruise things with Def Leppard and other 80's hair band types. The first day out to sea, the bass player of one of the bands, Jimmy Bain of Last in Line (formerly Dio's band), died of undiagnosed lung cancer.
Met all of Def Leppard, Kix, Last in Line, Tom Keifer (of Cinderella) and his band, Kip Winger, and Eric Martin of Mister Big.
Got to buy some art from and visit with Rick Allen, the world's greatest one-armed drummer from Def Leppard.
Also in meeting Last in Line, I met Vinnie Appice, their drummer. He is the brother of drummer Carmine Appice, who I met MANY years ago as a 7th grader at band camp.
