Week 8 was not nice to this show. However, there were no Aggies on the PrizePicks board this time last week. Week 9 has my full attention, and I’ve got multiple plays on this weekend’s Texas A&M vs. LSU showdown as well as some sneaky players that you may never have even heard of. Let’s go get some winners.

*Numbers are subject to change*

Aggie of the Week

WR Jabre Barber
MORE THAN 30.5 Receiving Yards
Last week’s Aggie of the Week was ruined by penalties on a few big Le’Veon Moss runs. This week, I’m going with a receiver. LSU’s top two slot corners have given up a combined 34 receptions on 38 targets (89% completion percentage) for 453 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. That’s about 64.7 yards allowed per game by them combined. Even though Barber played nine fewer snaps than Cyrus Allen against Mississippi State, he ran 14 routes out of the slot (82.4% of his snaps), which is twice as much as any other Texas A&M wide receiver. Barber’s stock is going to keep going up, so I’ll buy it low.

Lineup of the Week

Jabre Barber, WR, Texas A&M
MORE THAN 30.5 Receiving Yards
For all of the reasons above, this is going in my lineup of the week.

Colton Joseph, QB, Old Dominion
MORE THAN 62.5 Rushing Yards
The more I watch Joseph, the more I love this kid. Making the switch to him at quarterback has done wonders for Old Dominion. He is explosive on the ground, and Georgia Southern has had issues keeping opposing quarterbacks in the pocket. While Old Dominion has given up 22 sacks on the season (122nd in the country), Georgia Southern ranks 99th in the country in defensive sacks accumulated. Also, Joseph has only allowed five sacks and a 10% pressure-to-sack rate compared to the rest of the quarterbacks who have played, giving up a combined 16 sacks and a 31% pressure-to-sack rate. Oh, and Joseph has played more snaps than the other two QBs combined.

Jalen White, RB, Georgia Southern
MORE THAN 59.5 Rushing Yards
This one is a no-brainer for me. In other markets, Jalen White is priced at having an implied probability of going over 60 yards about 63% of the time. He has been fantastic for the Eagles and will be going against an Old Dominion defense that has given up over 160 yards per game on the ground.

Dante Dowdell, RB, Nebraska
LESS THAN 25.5 Rushing Yards
Dowdell has had some good games here or there, but the Nebraska offense has been struggling a lot recently. Additionally, Dowdell continues to get his carries vultured by Emmett Johnson. In a game with the potential of having a negative game script, I’ll take the LESS THAN even with a number as low as this.

Ricky White III, WR, UNLV
MORE THAN 97.5 Receiving Yards
The White & White law firm is going to do wonders for us this week. If you’ve been with us before, you know that this show is a big fan of Ricky White’s. UNLV plays against an explosive Boise State offense that is sure to put up a lot of points. Boise State’s secondary has been incredibly leaky all year (no matter the opponent). In a game that has CFP implications, Ricky White III is going to shine.

Other Dawson Selections

Julian Fleming, WR, Penn State - MORE THAN 18.5 Receiving Yards
Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers - MORE THAN 92.5 Rushing Yards
Kyle McCord, QB, Syracuse - MORE THAN 326.5 Passing Yards
Conner Weigman, QB, Texas A&M - MORE THAN 205.5 Passing Yards
Aaron Anderson, WR, LSU - MORE THAN 22.5 Yards on Longest Reception
