Our neighbor has a condo by the ocean and a former classmate has a house just up the coast. They don't hate Americans and food is cheap. Flights to and from major American cities, lots of expats live there and it's not super touristy 24-7.

You can easily live in a third world country at third world country rates right here in Texas. Want to feel like you are in Mexico with the crime and politics? Why not try Crystal City. Want to be around poor black people? Try Marlin. Poor white people your thing? Try any oil town. You can live on the cheap in any of these places without having to cross the border.

Depends on how Jewish you are. It's a spectrum. If they say "I'm a Jew," it's 100% both sides of the family. Me on the other hand. I'm Jew-ish.

Cartagena is pretty cool as there are nice beaches and waterfront views all the way across.

when I was there the Ritz Carlton Residences were selling for $550,000
