No, I meant if you put yourself in a situation where there is a very clear path to yes and you consider it, the deed may as well already be done. Go out for drinks with a woman on a business trip, have a woman to your hotel room etc etc.

I dont knownhow people with children find time to cheat with how absolutely crazy busy life is at home dealing with all the kids crap.

Sadly, it's likely true. I've witnessed it in all circles for decades. I'm not a saint at all and can push the envelope on many many things. However, I am old fashion in that if your spouse can't trust you why should I expect I can trust you.

More opportunity, yeah. I'd agree with that. But I do believe that most women, myself included, can't compartmentalize well enough to carry on intimate relationships with two people over a long period of time.

The couple of women I know who have had affairs got caught because they eventually started giving their husband the cold shoulder and it made them suspicious. Men, in my experience, don't seem to have a problem showering their wife with what appears to be sincere affection while also convincing a mistress that he loves her and is going to leave his wife for her. This is one of the reasons my marriage continued for as long as it did; I simply could not believe that someone could treat me so lovingly and attentively and also be doing the same with another person. I would repeatedly convince myself that there was just no way because it seemed implausible to me.

And yeah, I'm looking at this through the lens of my own experiences and observations, so willing to admit I could be mistaken in my assessment.
