Isn't night sweats a symptom of lymphoma...

Not to freak you out, sounds like you're getting it all checked out. Good luck dude, hopefully it's something minor

Ahh, you'd prefer it in your butt instead of your mouth. Duly noted.

Blood work, chest X-ray, and abdominal CT all came back normal. I was honestly hoping they would find something.

You previously said you stopped lexapro recently. It really helped me. Talk to your dr. Try something else if you have to. It's a miserable thing to live with.

I did. And I'm dealing with brain zaps from withdrawals. Try something new is simple enough in theory, but the problem is that I've tried a LOT of meds over the last 15 years. We're at the point now that it's hard to find something that we have not tried, or that is not basically the same as something we've tried. I've taken lexapro, Effexor, Citalopram, fluoxetine, zyprexa, lamotrigine, olanzapine, quetiapine, lithium, Klonapin, Busbar, and gabepentin.

I wish I was making that up

Dang very sorry to hear that. After I got over being to stubborn to try it, lexapro made a big difference for me. Wanted to quit the first week as I got every damn side effect on the box, but it got better. Guess i got lucky.

Not trying to be a kook, but I microdosed mushrooms 2 years ago to deal with pretty severe depression, took 50-150mg mixed with cacao powder in a gel cap once every 3 days for about a month and a half and felt good enough to stop. Basically slowed down or shut down my internal monologue and made cyclical thinking something I actually had to try to do rather than something that was unavoidable.

I went that route because I didn't want to risk the withdrawal or side effects of prescription anti-depressants unless I had to, and if microdosing didn't work I absolutely would have had to.

Im not opposed. Have actually been doing research on psilocybin microdosing/LSD. Also looking at Ketamine therapy.

Basically at the point where theres not much i would not be willing to try

Ordered more bloodwork to test for celiac and for some kind of inflammation markers. Also gave me a box to poop in and mail, as well as ordered a colonoscopy and an upper GI.

I had horrible gut issues and did a colonoscopy and blood work and stool samples, abdominal xrays, etc. Nothing was ever found. I gave up ultimately. And then I started anxiety meds and poof, my gut issues were gone. I even felt like eating again.

I've been on lexapro, Buspar, rexulti, Viibryd and now Zoloft. Zoloft has been a game changer for me.

I don't think I've ever tried sertraline. May have to talk to my psychiatrist. Never heard of rexulti or viibryd

eta: probably never heard of rexulti due to it not being used for bipolar disorder. Viibryd has a side effect that aggravates mania in bipolar patients, so that one would likely not be an option either.

all SSRIs can induce mania. Viibryd is an SSRI. Rexulti not indicated for bipolar.

I take the Rexulti in conjunction with the sertraline. It helps me sleep. Insomnia was a big problem for me. I should note I take/took these meds to treat my anxiety issues. I do not have bipolar disorder but I have family members that do and they've also struggled to find a medication combo that works, so you have my sympathies. It's a really frustrating process.

I had a really bad experience with the Viibryd, like really bad. So bad I was ready to throw in the towel, so to speak. But, I have a husband and daughter that I love dearly so I stuck it out for them. We moved states so I had to change doctors while weaning off the Viibryd. New doctor talked me into the Zoloft. I was super hesitant to try anything ever again but her advice and the two people listed above are why I gave it a shot, and continue to take it each night.

Everyone is different. I pray and hope you find both relief and a med combination that works for you. It's hard, but hang in there.

I appreciate this. My therapist is concerned about me proverbially throwing in the towel. She suggested I get a dog to give me purpose while I work through everything. So I did. I've been with the same psychiatrist for 3 years and have been on the same core medication for 3 years we've changed supplemental meds but that's it. I'm considering finding a new psychiatrist to get a fresh perspective.

The problem is finding a good psychiatrist

I know a few people who went through several anti-anxiety meds before landing on Zoloft and they describe it as life changing. Definitely worth asking your doctor about.

Best of luck.
