breakfast: tacos. pot/bac/egg. chorizo/egg. sausage/egg
lunch/dinner: enchiladas, fajitas, rice, beans, tortillas, burritos, tamales, menudo
drinks: Mexican coke. I don't drink much alcohol.
desserts: none

lunch/dinner: some combination of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato with a tortilla delivery system, side of rice and beans

EDIT: but seriously, the dish i'm usually looking for on a Mexican menu is carne guisada, 2 enchiladas (cheese), rice, and beans (refried). I find this is most often referred to as a Texas Plate at a lot of restaurants.

I was hoping more of specific types of rices, beans and enchiladas, what type of alcohol ? Beer? What brand.

Username checks out.

First of all, let's all agree that Mexican 'hole-in-the-walls' BTHO chains & the big names. My wife & I have a rule - "the more bars on the windows, the better".

Breakfast - not a huge fan of spicy for breakfast, or breakfast in general, but huevos rancheros is hard to beat.

Lunch - copious amounts of chips & salsa, followed by some lunch-size portion of fajita or chimichanga if I'm feeling nutty.

Dinner - copious amounts of chips & salsa again, although this time with piping hot queso and jalapeos. I'm a big fan of the combo platters that highlight some clever mix of the taco/cheese enchilada tandem.
Lately, however, I've found myself gravitating towards the specialized enchilada side of the plastic-covered panel menu. Enchiladas Verde. Enchiladas Crema. Enchiladas Suiza. Enchiladas Al Carbon. I have yet to be disappointed with any of these selections.

And top shelf frozen margaritas from start to finish. If the wife has been good all week, I might let her have sopapillas at the end, with the honey drizzle. It makes her happy to feed one to me while rubbing my belly.

In Pearsall, in about 2002, along the Railroad tracks, there was a taco place where I discovered my favorite breakfast taco: Spam, cheese, and egg. Yes, Spam. Best tacos I ever had.

Breakfast: Chilaquiles, barbacoa tacos, huevos rancheros
Lunch: Mole enchiladas, sopa de calabacita (soup with squash)
Dinner: Chile rellenos
Drinks: Mexican coke, margarita, Modelo Especial

Snack: homemade (or not) corn tortillas, hot, with butter and salt; rajas poblanas with cheese in a flour tortilla

Breakfast: barbacoa taco, a bowl of menudo, and a concha

Lunch/dinner: plain old cheese enchiladas in chile con carne with refried beans and rice on the side; tortillas; a ton of chips, salsa, and queso

Dessert: pink cake

Drink: Mexican martini or a spicy michelada with a Negro Modelo

Now I'm hungry.
