Check your rewards points total. Overnight they implemented a one-year expiration on points. Half of mine disappeared. After blowing it up on social media, I got this reply:

Thanks for reaching out. Can you email us at eat@freebirds.com so we can talk to you more about this issue?

They are refunding the lost points for one year if you email your name and email address. Still a BS policy, and really sneaky not announcing the change and just stealing points. This is the second time they've farked their customers on the points system.

Every time i eat that rot gut crap I regret it for the next two days.

I hope the place closes shop. Was decent 20-years ago, but nowadays, just a bland tortilla stuffed with hot garbage.

Tx4guns, thank you for reaching out. This may be a duplicate but wanted to touch back just in case. This policy of 365 days has been in effect at least as long as the App. Unfortunately upon researching your account the points removed were all past expiration.

We are sorry you are disappointed, but we are allowed to expire unused points under the terms and conditions you agreed to when enrolling in our rewards program.

A Reward may not be combined with any other offer or coupon. Points are valid for 365 days, unless a longer period of time is required by law, in which case the Points are valid for the minimum period of time required by law.

Well, that certainly is disappointing. Points have never expired since the application was installed, but now you suddenly decide to enforce a policy, which may or may not have been added to the original terms of agreement. I certainly didn't notice it, and didn't worry about it because my points never expired in the past! How convenient for your corporation, and what a slap in the face to your loyal customers. I've been eating Freebirds since 1993. My dear friend was an employee of yours back then, and I was loyal to your products. We have choices now, unlike those days. With this policy, you make my choice easy. I will never purchase from your stores again. You have lost 26+ years of recommendations, referrals, and loyalty from me.

I wanted a menu item named after me. It took 5000 points! I had enough points for a burrito party for 10. Now I only have like 220.

Went ahead and blasted my thoughts to them on their web form.

I go about once a month...but guess that will stop. Given how not busy their Sugar Land location is, I don't think they can handle loss of customers. If there is more than 1 person in line or 3 people working, it's a surprise.

I used my rewards card from 2004 in 2014. The cashier said, "I havent seen this one before!" Told em to swipe it and they were surprised that the thing still had a readable strip.

That SL store reminds me of the store we opened on Bee Caves Rd back in the early 2000s. The lunch "rush" was maybe 45 minutes and the evening was basically just a trickle of 2-3 people at a time.

I felt so bad for their GM...the salaried managers worked themselves into the ground because they couldn't afford many hourly workers on staff.
