I think it is a much more useful metric than Myers-Briggs. What do y'all think?

We love the Enneagram. My wife and I as well as our immediate family have all taken it. We use it at work, church, small group, and in pre-marital counseling.

We use the test Here and find the results and information to be very helpful. (FYI it is $10 per test).

Also, read "The Road Back to You" by Ian Cron and Richard Rohr's "The Enneagram" books

I have found it very interesting to find out some of my quirky behaviors are really very common for 5's and 6's. It has also helped to understand why me and mrs.gravy (4w3) see the same thing so differently.

At best these tests are lubrication for a conversation with someone about how you see yourself, but personalities aren't stagnant and some people treat these tests like they're a guide to themselves. They're not. They're targeted horoscopes. By that I mean, it's like you go to an astrologist or psychic and tell them you're a romantic, that you want to get married, and that you love being outdoors. The astrologist turns back to you and says "Ahhhh, yes! I can see it now. You're in a field of daffodils and you're smiling hand in hand with a loved one. It looks as if you are about to get engaged!" And you run off thinking "Where is this field, and how can I get to it as fast as humanly possible?!"
