If it was open to just any kind of sandwich shop, I agree that Schlotzky's and Jason's Deli would be up there near the top.

I started this thread, because I was at a Penn Station. I forgot they have fresh cut french fries and fresh squeezed lemonade. It is like if Five Guys and Firehouse had a baby and Chickfila brought over lemonade for the baby shower.

Quiznos - Subway - Blimpie

Jason's Deli - My favorite sandwich place of all. I really like the variety of sandwiches that they offer. And the bonus of course is their breads/muffins/cracker offerings and their frozen yogurt.
Potbelly - Their offerings are small but simple yet they're good at what they do. The bonus is their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

Panera - It's decent, but expensive.
Jimmy Johns - Decent bread to go with a decent sandwich.
Firehouse Subs - I thought it was overpriced for what you get, but I've only been a couple of times so there's that. It wasn't a memorable meal so there's that too.


Quiznos - One notch above Subway, but still Meh
Subway - Meh



Blimpie - Meh
Jersey Mikes - horrible. will never go back willingly again.

I actually intentionally go to Potbelly sometimes. The next three I'll eat if it's convenient. The rest I actively avoid.

Except Penn Station which I've never heard of.

I was curious what happened to all the Quiznos, and found this video. Sounds like a mess of an organization. Strangely enough, the Quiznos that has always been closest to me is still open, and is one of only ten in the Houston area.

Based on replies it sounds like Jersey Mikes is very dependent on the franchisee. Luckily the one near me is good. Better than anything else around here.

I have tried it several times, ordering different things at different locations and none of the sandwiches were good.

Never been to Jersey Mike's or Potbelly, but they HAVE to be ranked ahead of the rest. Subway is alright, all the others are meh (Jimmy John's) or bad (Quiznos)

Also a big Jersey Mike's fan... Italian mikes way with the hot pepper relish! They also make a pretty darn good cheesesteak.

You should consider my opinion. I eat at a sandwich place 5-6 times per week.. I have eaten at all the ones mentioned a bunch

People who enjoy Schlotzkys are to be pointed at and laughed at repeatedly.

Schlotzkys by a mile although not subs. Subway is the CiCi's of sub places - last place by definition

I had Lenny's today for lunch

The hole in the wall Tony's in Conroe is rated as the #1 restaurant ( not just sandwich shop) in the country.

Their specialty sandwiches each have a different spread that separates them from anything you've ever tasted. I can confirm. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by.

Penn Station is great. Better than all the rest.
