Coconut is pointless except for the milk (love me some thai curry). A raisin is a waste of a perfectly good grape. Any candy bar containing either goes straight to the bottom of the list.

Coconut in candy isn't very good, but I love it toasted. Coconut cake is my favorite cake.

I agree about coconut, but not raisins. Raisins are not made with wine grapes so are perfectly good for candy.

I have seen raisins made from wine grapes, and that IS a waste, but rare.

Non-wine grape or not, raisins are pointless. I'd rather just eat a grape. Just like I'd rather eat an oatmeal cookie sans raisins that with. As would most people.
