Interesting. I saw this post yesterday and thought I might recognize that girl, but wasn't sure.

I'm in surgery this morning and my scrub tech is her mother.

Here's the story: two years ago she was the designated driver for a group of friends leaving Northgate. They got pulled over for some reason and the only ticket they got was for no proof of insurance. It wasn't her car, but her friend's car. Her friend said she would send the proof of insurance in and should be taken care of. On her end, she never followed up on it and has subsequently moved, so if they tried sending her notifications that she has not met the requirements of the ticket, she was not getting them.

I can't tell how old this person is. She could be 18, or she could be 32.

And, is there a more CSPD arrest than 'offensive gesture'? Sounds like a butthurt Barney Fife situation. Dude probably hit on her, while in uniform, she shot him down, he said something awful, she flipped him the bird, he cuffs her and stuffs her.

i remember my business law prof saying Caldwell had a city ordinance against flipping the bird towards police, but towards a civilian was okay. Of course college station would adopt a similar policy

I think a mugshot can tell you a lot about a person. Most people, upon being arrested, would probably feel shame of some sort and would be embarrassed to have their picture taken. That is clearly not the case with these women.

Because they probably see it as a glamour shot.
Could be their big moment on insta, etc.

I wonder how much smiling for a mugshot is just absolute default behavior of attractive women who have grown up with an obvious pavlovian smile response to having their photo taken.

I've said this before, but I 100% believe there is a giant market for a concierge luxury mugshot business. Photographer has deal worked out with their local LEO agencies. Your client goes through intake, has pre-arranged services, the 3rd party photographer gets notified, and the business pays a facilitation fee to the jail to allow for hair, makeup, lighting, posing, and coaching. The glamor photo become the official police record image. The arrested individual gets invoiced after release.

LA, NYC, Miami, and Dallas would all be thriving franchise locations.
