For the record, Court of Two Sisters is crap.

No self respecting proper tourist would ever go there a second time. It's Luby's with a better seating arrangement.

Port of Call has burgers that slice through a hangover I have been told

Have fun. Tremendous food options in the French Quarter although some of the selections listed are in neighboring areas

Cochon - so damn good
Cochon Butcher - great lunch spot
La Petite Grocery (not French Quarter but worth the Uber ride over)
Square Root (again, not French Quarter but a very cool experience)

One of the best burgers I've ever had was at Maspero's back during the World's Exposition in 1984.

Curious if it is still as good as it was 30 years on.

For a nicer setting I'd choose gumbo shop.

However, if you need somewhere to go for lunch, get to Coops place 10 minutes before they open for an early lunch. Incredible food.

I do when a significant amount of rat sh-- is found in the powder surgar (so you can guess where), and still get used on a regular basis.....also, starting about 1:30 AM, watch the streets and rafters. When they do the vector testing in the FQ, they typically catch 80+ rats in less than 1.5 hours.

Don't get me wrong, I love the homemade fried pigskins from the gas stations in Ziploc bag goes.

I was having dinner at an old place one night when these women started shrieking and getting up. Looked over there was a rat running around the open floor to ceiling window they were sitting at. Well, when doors and windows are open like that and there's mountains of garbage rotting all along the sidewalks, you might see a rat or two.

I just try to drink enough to numb myself to the bubonic.
